Caregivers

Caregivers love CompuMed because it reduces worry and concern over whether those they care for took medication properly.

At CompuMed, the term "Caregiver" is  defined broadly. A Caregiver could be a family member or paid professional. . . anyone who cares for another.

Many options added to the basic CompuMed have come from ideas shared by Caregivers. These include the  voice alarm, flashing strobe and telephone tie-in. We are always striving to improve CompuMed and get our best ideas from "those in the trenches."

Professional caregivers may also find that in certain  situations, liability relating to medication dispensing is reduced. Medication is loaded by a qualified individual into the weekly medication cassette and then inserted into CompuMed. When the medicine is dispensed to  an individual on a daily basis, the risk of the caregiver dispensing the wrong medication is reduced.
