CompuMed Medication Reminder, Medication Dispenser and Management System
automatically dispenses the proper medication at the right time. All other
medicine is locked in a tamperproof medication dispenser cassette. At preset
times medication is automatically dispensed into an easily accessed drawer.
When
medicine is dispensed, an audio alarm sounds and instructions appear on a
screen (i.e. "Take with food"). Optional reminders include a flashing strobe
for the hearing impaired, a voice module for Alzheimer patients and a
telephone/Emergency Response tie-in that telephones a remote caregiver if
medication is not taken within a certain time of when it should.

medicine (pills, tablets, etc.), but can be used as a reminder for non-pill
form medication.
