Those who use CompuMed love it  because it is so easy to take the correct medication. No vials to open . . . No wondering if medication was taken or not . . . No concern over one pill or two . . . over the red pill or the green one. CompuMed uses its  computer "brains" to help keep track of 'the right pill at the right time.'

Our typical end user is 82 years old, lives alone at home and has two or more chronic illnesses. Many use an Emergency  Response telephones and other assistive devices in their daily living. This is not to say that only those fitting this profile use CompuMed.

Others besides the elderly benefit from CompuMed. Everyone for whom it  is important that medicine be taken timely and properly should use CompuMed.

Individuals with chronic illnesses, head injuries, developmental disabilities and others have all benefitted from CompuMed. Many MHMR  (Mental Health and Mental Retardation) individuals have used CompuMed with great success.

Interestingly enough, we have noticed an attitude shift among the at-home elderly in the last ten or twelve years. They  are much more comfortable and willing to accept technology than they were in 1988 when CompuMed started. Electronic gadgets are not nearly so intimidating. And, there is not nearly the stigma (and denial) attached to  forgetting medication as there was.
